Wine Tasting in Wyoming

Although Jackson Hole Winery sits at elevation of 6,229 feet at the base of the Grand Tetons, don’t underestimate its wine potential. Approximately 2,500 cases of wine are produced here annually – including an award-winning chardonnay, riesling, pinot noir, and zinfandel – from grapes imported from the Sonoma region of California. A private tasting for your team includes a tour and talk that demonstrates what wine crafted in the Wild, Wild West is all about. 

Wine & Design 

The resort supplies the beverages, while The Local Galleria – an art gallery in nearby Driggs, Idaho – provides the canvases, painting supplies, and an instructor for guests to create their own masterpieces of the Tetons, Moulton Barn, and more. 

Wild West Shootout 

Snow King Hotel partners with the Jackson Hole Playhouse to bring your group a private reenactment of a lively cowboy gun battle at the resort, equipped with authentic western garb and guns (don’t worry, they’re filled with blanks). Afterward, enjoy a post-shootout “Meet & Greet” with the actors, who remain in character and embody quintessential cowboys.

History of Jackson Hole 

Did you know that the “hole” in Jackson Hole was the term that nineteenth-century trappers used to describe this deep 50-mile-long valley? You will after taking a historic walking tour in the Town Square or enjoying a private presentation at the resort by a certified local historian from the Jackson Hole Historical Society.

Local Birds of Prey 

Meet real live owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles during a raptor encounter program from the Teton Raptor Center. Demonstrations are offered at the center in nearby Wilson, Wyoming, or can be brought to the resort for a personalized experience and up-close look at the rehabilitation, research, and education of these feathered creatures.
