For over 25 years, Suya has been active in hospitality sales and marketing for major brands within the industry, luxury resorts and independent and boutique properties, serving in important leadership and sales positions. She has a proven track record in sales, maximizing revenues and leading successful teams.
In her current role with Benchmark, Suya serves as the primary Benchmark Resorts & Hotels liaison for domestic and international luxury travel providers worldwide. With an extensive background representing luxury properties and destinations, she works directly with our travel industry partners in the retail and international wholesale segments to drive business to our resorts and hotels, as well as in cooperation with state and regional tourism boards and Brand USA.

Fabiola Sotomayor Pomares

Fabiola has more than 16 years of extensive experience in hotels and resorts in luxury leisure sales in Los Cabos, Mexico, San Francisco, Beverly Hills and most recently on the opening team with Four Seasons Napa Valley. She oversees the sales efforts for all of Turtle Bay’s leisure activities, selling the landmark resort on O’ahu’s North Shore. An icon of Oahu’s North Shore for nearly 50 years, Turtle Bay Resort revealed a major transformation in 2021, with more new spaces to be unveiled in 2022. Ellyn McLain

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Ellyn moved to Los Angeles at 18 years old to pursue new adventures. She found them in hospitality at the luxury boutique Hotel Armano. After an initial two-year stint, she further ventured out in the world to Florence, Italy for what was intended to be a three-month excursion. Two years later, there was no doubt Ellyn was in love with exploring new cultures and the infinite possibilities of travel. Ultimately returning to Texas, Ellyn finished her degree and jumped back into hospitality at luxury boutique hotel Mokara Hotel. When opportunity allowed four years ago, she made La Cantera Resort & Spa her home, where leisure sales has been her constant conquest.

Nicholas Lopez

Nicholas graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. He gained experience in Sales while working as Group Sales Coordinator and Villa and Leisure Sales Coordinator at The Resort at Pelican Hill in California. He was also nominated for Employee of the Quarter in 2018 and 2019. Nicholas most recently worked as an Assistant Mortgage Loan Officer and quickly grew into the role of Mortgage Loan Officer in less than two years. As part of his leadership experience, Nicholas served in the US Army Reserve Officers Training Corps from Sept ’13 – May ’17. He directed over 70 soldiers through daily physical training, development courses, and collaborated with battalion staff to optimize logistics and operational success.
