SUYA DAVENPORT 

CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF LEISURE SALES

For over 25 years, Suya has been active in hospitality sales and marketing for major brands within the industry, luxury resorts and independent and boutique properties, serving in important leadership and sales positions. She has a proven track record in sales, maximizing revenues and leading successful teams.

In her current role with Benchmark, Suya serves as the primary Benchmark Resorts & Hotels liaison for domestic and international luxury travel providers worldwide. With an extensive background representing luxury properties and destinations, she works directly with our travel industry partners in the retail and international wholesale segments to drive business to our resorts and hotels, as well as in cooperation with state and regional tourism boards and Brand USA.

Suya was director of sales and marketing for ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa in Bal Harbour, Florida and at Naples Bay Resort, in Naples, Florida, properties that were previously managed by Benchmark.

Fabiola Sotomayor Pomares

DIRECTOR OF LEISURE TRAVEL INDUSTRY SALES - TURTLE BAY RESORT

Fabiola has more than 16 years of extensive experience in hotels and resorts in luxury leisure sales in Los Cabos, Mexico, San Francisco, Beverly Hills and most recently on the opening team with Four Seasons Napa Valley. She oversees the sales efforts for all of Turtle Bay’s leisure activities, selling the landmark resort on O’ahu’s North Shore. An icon of Oahu’s North Shore for nearly 50 years, Turtle Bay Resort revealed a major transformation in 2021, with more new spaces to be unveiled in 2022. With an extensive roster of Only at Turtle Bay experiences offered at the newly reimagined resort.

Robyn Gallegos

DIRECTOR OF LEISURE SALES FOR LA QUINTA & CLUB

Robyn offers 20+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, with Brands such as Marriott, Starwood, Hilton and boutique properties. Seven years ago, Robyn took on the Tourism Development role at Visit Greater Palm Springs. Robyn’s responsibilities included the Industry sales efforts for the Americas and International luxury markets embracing Travel Advisors and Tour Operators. She is a proud supporter of ASTA, ACTA, MAPTA, MAST, Virtuoso, Signature Travel Network, The Hotel Collection, Visit California and Desert Cities PROST. Diana Carey

Diana is a ski industry veteran of 20-plus years who has held a variety of senior positions in the travel industry, from promoting destinations to independent and brand resorts and hotels, including Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Telluride Ski Resort, Colorado Tourism Office - Luxury Leisure Sales, The Peaks, Telluride – Corporate Director of Leisure Sales, Timbers Resorts (The Sebastian, Vail; Catello di Casole, Tuscany, and Hokalala, Kauai) and Park Hyatt Beaver Creek – Director of Leisure Sales.

She credits her start in the industry to the fun she had as a child behind her grandparents’ front desk at the Nugget Hotel in Aspen, Colorado.

Jay Cedillo

Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Jay has been active in the travel and hospitality industries for over 28 years. Carlson-Wagonlit Travel, Virtuoso, Sabre Hospitality, and The Travel Corporation are just a few of the companies that Jay has worked for. In 2005 he joined the sales team of the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona and remained in that capacity for over 10 years. Following a short absence, Jay has re-joined the team in his previous role as Business Travel & Leisure Sales Manager and specializes in Production, Entertainment and Film crews. Jay lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona with his wife Olga and their two boxers, Rocky and Leila.​

Rachelle Vroom

Rachelle joined Mountain Shadows as part of the pre-opening team in December 2016. She successfully established partnerships with American Express - The Hotel Collection, Signature Travel Network, Ensemble and Travel Leaders Select for the resort. She is on the executive board for Prost Phoenix Scottsdale. Previous to joining the resort, she was with Starwood Hotels and held the position of Business Transient Sales from 2013-2016.​

Nicholas Lopez

LEISURE SALES MANAGER - TURTLE BAY RESORT

Nicholas spent much of his childhood traveling the world between his homelands, so his penchant for hospitality came as no surprise to his friends and family. Landing at last in California, he served in operations at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach before joining The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast. There, he gained valuable experience as a Group Sales Coordinator, then Villa and Leisure Sales Coordinator - where he was repeatedly nominated for Employee of the Quarter. Coupled with an innate passion for the ocean, his desire to architect memories for guests fuels his passion to share the visual poetry of Turtle Bay Resort and its paradise of song, sand, and sea.

Deborah has over 20 years of experience selling to travel advisors in the key markets of Manhattan, Westchester, Long Island, Southern Connecticut and Northern New Jersey. Deborah is from the Bahamas, where she began her hospitality career. Carol’s career in the travel industry spans over 30 years, with a strong, solid background in resort and hotel sales. Twenty years ago, she formed her sales representation company concentrating on generating business from the southeastern U.S.  Based in Atlanta, her territory includes Georgia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. She offers sales coverage to travel agencies with sales visits and presentations and provides the necessary follow-up that is so crucial in our business. Carol also participates in industry trade shows, which greatly increase a resort’s visibility. She’s a member of the major travel industry organizations, where she’s served as a past president and board member.
