Paul Bashaw oversees all corporate national sales initiatives for the company including the expansion of Benchmark's National Sales Team in order to support the company's aggressive development plans. Paul has over 20 years’ experience working with meeting and event planners and has an extensive background in hotel sales and marketing.
GLOBAL SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
John MacMullen continues to drive business development for the Global Sales Team by creating new and innovative methods for our sales professionals to connect with meeting planners across the country. He brings with him years of experience as a Benchmark regional director for sales and marketing over our South Florida destinations where he was awarded Benchmark'ssales leader of the year.
Previously, Mr. MacMullen's career had him leading the sales and marketing efforts of world-class golf and beach resorts throughout the Caribbean, including Jamaica, St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, Curacao and The Bahamas.
GLOBAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - SOUTHEAST
Danielle Dunfee manages Southeast Accounts for Benchmark. She previously worked for a Destination Management Company and executed Fortune 500 corporate group functions. Her meetings and events experience provide exception experiences for her clients. Danielle is also an active member of her local Junior League chapter promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community.
GLOBAL ACCOUNT MANAGER - WEST COAST
Brynn Kessler oversees West Coast sales for Benchmark, a Global Hospitality Company. Brynn is a native Californian, with an extensive hospitality career concentrated in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been with Benchmark since 2013, beginning at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz as Associate Director of Sales.
GLOBAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER - SOUTHWEST
Linda Maurer manages Southwest Accounts for Benchmark, responsible for overseeing and managing all accounts in this region. She resides in Austin Texas with an extensive hospitality career that has focused primarily in the Texas Region. Linda is a member of Texas Society of Association Executives and was formerly the President of HSMAI’s Austin Chapter for two years.

Suya Davenport is corporate director of leisure sales for BENCHMARK. She serves as the primary liaison to domestic and international luxury travel providers. With an extensive background in representing luxury properties and destinations, Ms. Davenport works directly with travel industry partners.

Mousumi serves as a national sales associate for Benchmark, responsible for the oversight and management of accounts in the diverse portfolio. She has an extensive background in destination and hotel sales and marketing.

As we begin to look ahead to brighter days, I am encouraged by the resolve of our teams, our partners, and our industry. It is that same resolve that has guided our efforts in developing a plan of action to help accelerate the recovery efforts for us all. A plan to aid you in converting business in the short term, while also financially supporting your ability to advance future opportunities.
Additionally, in speaking with many of you, we have developed new and relevant best practices that are mindful of your concerns surrounding health and safety at future meetings and events. Benchmark Partner Initiative
We will support our intermediary partners by increasing our commission structure on room revenue from 10% to 12% for new business booked prior to June 30, 2021. Further, we will provide 7% of that anticipated commission within 30 days of the confirmed booking. The commission payouts are as follows:
A commission of 5% of rooms spend will be paid within 30 days of contract signing (and receipt of initial deposit)
A 2% Business Development stimulus will be paid within 30 days of contract signing (and receipt of initial deposit)
A commission of 5% of rooms spend (adjusted to actual) will be paid within 30 days of settlement of Master Account
*Program applies to new business only. Not applicable to meeting booked before 4/15/20. Additional contract terms do apply. Program is subject to participation and availability at the Hotel’s discretion, and the Hotel reserves the right to cancel or modify this offer at any time for any reason.
