5-Minutes with the Founder of 4ocean

It doesn’t matter if you live in a landlocked state. Every other breath we take comes from the ocean. How is that possible? Floating microscopic organisms called phytoplankton produce much of the world’s oxygen via photosynthesis. It’s a fun fact that Alex Schulze, CEO of 4ocean, keeps on the tip of his tongue. “The ocean provides us with so much in life, and it connects everybody across the board,” says Schulze, a surfer from Naples, Florida. When he’s not out catching waves, he's on a serious mission to clean up the world’s waterways, one pound of plastic at a time. It’s a daunting task: roughly two garbage trucks of trash are dumped into our oceans every minute. But Schulze is optimistic, especially thanks to 4ocean’s new partnership with Benchmark Resorts & Hotels.
