Conquer The Backroads Of Vermont On A Land Rover Or Jeep Off-road Course

Published on February 28, 2020

April showers bring May flowers, which means springtime in Vermont is also officially known as mud season! If you’ve ever been off-roading, you know that swerving through the mud at high speeds is about as thrilling of a car experience as you can get. In Vermont, we’ve seen a growing demand for off-roading experiences that let you live out your car commercial fantasies along the state’s beautiful backroads.

Land Rover Experience

There’s something thrilling about being behind the wheel of a powerful machine, and Land Rover offers some of the best 4WD vehicles around. These cars may be made for adventure on the outside, but on the inside, they are all luxury. The Equinox Resort Land Rover Experience will fine-tune your driving skills through expert coaching by the Land Rover Experience Driving School. Before you know it, you’ll have mastered Fast and the Furious speed and agility that will help you dominate the road.

The Land Rover Course is a private off-roading course made up of 80 acres that highlight Vermont’s striking landscapes. Turn, whip, jump, and climb your way through a rural course surrounded by birch trees and mountain backdrops.

Jeep 4×4 Adventure

If Jeep speaks more to your adventure preferences, then you’ll be happy to hear that Jeep also has private and group off-roading driving experiences in Vermont. In addition to their traditional 4×4 courses, their Guided Jeep Rides offer an alternative for people who love the off-roading feel but would rather opt out of the pressure of being in the driver’s seat. On your ride, you’ll make an exciting climb through the steep inclines of Bolton Valley and get to watch the sunset over Lake Champlain.

Where to Stay

After a day spent winding through the mud, you’ll need a relaxing spot to kick your feet up. Our favorite locale would be the front porch of The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, a charming resort in the colonial town of Manchester. The resort’s beautiful traditional architecture dates back to 1769 and offers an elegant setting for year-round relaxation. Unwind with a River Stone Massage at The Spa at Equinox, where you’ll feel your tension melt away under hot and cold basalt river rocks. Then delight in a sampling of 20 styles of the best internationally sourced cheeses and chocolate truffles at the Falcon Bar, one of the resort’s five dining options.
