Published on October 5, 2023

Dreaming of camping in the forest and sleeping under the stars, but seeking more comfort than a simple sleeping bag and pop-up tent? Surrounded by fragrant Douglas Firs trees and situated on the banks of the Columbia River in Stevenson, Washington, Skamania Lodge’s Tree House Village and glamping tents are the ideal basecamp to reconnect with nature and explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Treehouses

Elevated above the forest ground and nestled among the trees, Skamania’s luxurious treehouses provide modern amenities and tranquil views of the Columbia River Gorge. From romantic getaways to family vacations and thrilling adventures, the treehouses at Skamania Lodge have everything you need to create unforgettable memories during an overnight nature trip. Treehouse amenities include a small kitchenette, fluffy bathrobes, board games, complimentary s’mores kits and a treehouse “Survival Guide.”

Skamania Lodge’s Spruce Tree House King is the perfect romantic hideaway. Secluded in nature, couples can rediscover romance as they cuddle up on the lavish king-size bed or share a bottle of wine and enjoy tranquil forest views on the intimate outdoor deck.

The Alder Tree Houses are ideal for a family vacation. Here, families can reconnect and embrace the fun and childhood nostalgia of sleeping among the trees, while enjoying modern amenities including comfortable sleeping arrangements, a full bathroom and a flat screen TV. During their stay, families can relax and play board games on the treehouse’s outdoor deck or reconnect and cozy up around a private outdoor firepit and enjoy s’mores and a steaming cup of coffee or hot cocoa together.

For adventure-seekers, the Alpine and Noble treehouses provide a fun and exciting option. These treehouses are among the tallest in the Treehouse Village, reaching a height of 40 feet. After a day of hiking, exploring waterfalls or tackling Skamania’s Adventure Park, adventurers can unwind and enjoy elevated views of the Columbia River Gorge and Cascade Mountains beyond.

Glamping Tents

Situated next to the Tree House Village, are Skamania’s glamping tents. These spacious safari-style tents are sure to provide a magical camping experience. Spanning 472 square feet, Skamania’s glamping tents include either a king or two queen beds, a private firepit and a bathroom complete with a soaking tub. Unlike the treehouses, these glamping tents are not equipped with TVs and other modern-day distractions. This allows campers to unplug from everyday life, spend quality time with loved ones, soak in the symphony of forest sounds and luxuriate in the tranquility and natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
